Baby growth spurt means no workout for me today. Not a big deal right? But why does it feel like a big deal? Sometimes this happens. Sometimes we don’t get our “me time”, sometimes our son just needs to be held and fed constantly. So I guess my workout today is working on finding grace for myself when I can’t control my circumstances. So here are the question I am asking myself to help me work through it: 1. Why am I so scared of missing a workout? : I’m scared of losing my motivation and then becoming a couch potato and then putting on tons of weight and then people thinking I’m fat and me thinking I’m fat and not worthy of love. : 🌺 It’s a good thing God is greater than all my fears and my tendency to spiral! I am child of God and God loves his children no matter what! And guess what? Transformations don’t always look how we want them to. In the past 3 years my life has changed drastically: moving and two kids. My yoga practice has taken quite a hit and you can see the evidence of that in this picture. But it’s ok. As I moved into camel pose during this practice I felt almost as if my body was made new. All these changes have it feeling like a new creation, a new body to discover, and that’s what yoga is all about: self-discovery. So far my workout has consisted of me putting on my workout dvd and then quieting my screaming baby. That counts right? 🤷‍♀️ Also, my makeup is leftover from yesterday and I can hear my toddler (who should be napping) throwing books around his room.
